He was so thin-skinned
he needed a skingraft.
To prevent rejection,
the skin needed to be
from a near relative.
The father was choosen.

But at the operation they found
the skin on the father's back
was so thick,
they needed a saw.
All went well,
but later, at the autopsy,
they ascertained that the son,
as if to fulfil his father's aspirations,
had grown spines,
but pointing the wrong way:
     and they'd pierced himself.
