SOCIAL CRITIC GIVEN TO MELANCHOLY

A winter day like the parable of the cave.
A chilly rear wall consisting of fog and clouds,
behind them, the horizon. Maybe.
I turn out the light, close my eyes,
see two knees, thighs
and between them a valley
where the sun always rises.
Bright memory,
more true than the dark.

December sans snow

A mild winter is a state of mind

Light again, after snowfall

In a minute, a warm embrace

A winter day like the parable...

the tenses of language

and my favourite thought

alone

I'll leave tomorrow

NOW

We looked into each other's eyes

the same familiar sonata
